This is a test site to demonstrate the ACT2² Internet Development Kit (IDK). The IDK is designed to be used with the Hence EDP ACT2² database structure and to provide our users with the tools that they require to design and build their own internet presence with a web site that will render on-screen proofs of any job that can be produced in ACT2².

The demonstrations also utilize a program that was designed and developed by Hence EDP specifically to provide Hence's users the ability to introduce jobs via an internet web page or the remote creation of of the data and presented to our IntUpld (Internet Upload program) in the designated format.

The various demonstrations are designed to illustrate this capability.

Two software kits are available for licensing of the software with Hence EDP. Both kits provide the end user with an ability to render ACT2² jobs on any user's browser, the difference deals with whether the location for the Web Server is already under an ACT2² site license (the database structure is already licensed and in place) or whether a site license is required.

Fully Compositional ACT2² Full Web Site
Fully Compositional ACT2² Augmented Web Site

The two licenses, FULL and AUGMENTED are designed to supply the needs of our clients for two different styles of site operations. To Hence EDP, a site is a physical location where a single group of workstations are joined to form a Local Area Network. If the web server is attached to the local area network defined in the site license, then only an augmented IDK license is necessary. However, if the web server is located away from the physical location granted by the Perpetual License or is on a different Local Area Network in the same location, then the full IDK license becomes necessary. Basically, the “full” license grants a new site as well as the license to use the software contained in the IDK. The need for a full license becomes especially necessary in the case where the software and databases, or any part of the ACT2² proprietary system, are to be installed at an internet providers site.

It is the intention of Hence EDP to continue development of this line of Internet products. Future releases of the IDK will be treated as upgrades, so users that have existing site and maintenance licenses will receive the upgrades automatically with no assessment of additional "upgrade fees".

Hence EDP does not propose the styles or presentation of the various pages on this Web, they are simply designed to allow us to demonstrate our IDK product.
